Our Goals
“NovaVita”
in Latin means “new life”. It is our goal that each
of our guests will experience a renewal of physical, spiritual and
emotional health. According to the World Health Organization 50%
of our health depends on our lifestyle choices. We believe that a
well planned, healthy lifestyle is the first step to a longer, more
productive and fulfilling life. We aim to provide both a
knowledge basis and practical experience that will aid our guests in
choosing and maintaining a lifestyle that will give them optimum health
and happiness.
Our Program
We
offer a special 13 day English session for foreign guests. This
program includes a mixture of time spent to rejuvenate health and
learn about positive lifestyle changes as well as time to explore
Lithuania. This is a unique opportunity to improve your health and
learn new lifestyle habits while visiting Europe. You will get to visit
ancient castles, walk along the Baltic Sea, wander down old-town
cobbled streets and see first hand the horrors of Nazi extermination
camps. (please read "tour locations" under the "program" heading).

Upon arrival at
NovaVita each guest will have a simple health/physical check-up by a medical doctor..
Your health condition and personal preferences will be used to select
the therapies that will be most beneficial to you. Depending on
your personal program and condition you can expect a series of
4-5 massages, 4-5 hydrotherapy or similar procedures, exercise
therapy on most days, 5-6 aromatherapy sessions, 2 sessions in a
Russian sauna and plenty of time to explore the surrounding villages
and countryside. We only accept up to 13 guests at each session,
so you can expect personalized care and attention.
Our team currently consists of 11
members. Our program is coordinated by Corrie Jankeviciene a
registered nurse from the United States who has been living in
Lithuania since 1994. She has spent many years both studying
about preventative health and practicing such a lifestyle. Our
medical program is coordinated by Dr. Emilio Caldera. A physician
with extensive experience in both traditional and non-traditional
healing methods, and a special interest in preventative medicine.
You will find our team to be enthusiastic, professional and
helpful. We are ready to serve you in any way possible and make
your stay here enjoyable, relaxing and educational.
We
are a lifestyle center, not a diagnostic or medical treatment
center. We encourage you to visit your family physician with any
serious health questions or concerns before your visit to NovaVita.

Our History
The
dream of a health and lifestyle center in Lithuania was born many years
ago. The first step was the creation of a non-profit health
organization “Nauja Pradžia” in 1997. This
organization was comprised of Seventh-day Adventist church members who
had a vision of helping their communities to live healthier and
happier. “Nauja Pradžia” organized numerous public
seminars and lecture series on various topics such as Nutrition and
Vegetarianism, Stress Management, Healthful Cooking Courses, Home
Remedies and Depression Recovery. We conducted stop smoking
clinics with European Union funding. For three consecutive years
we were awarded financing as partners of DANA Brain Alliance to conduct
lecture series on Brain Health with topics such as “Memory
Improvement”, “Emotions and the Brain” and “How
the Brain Makes Decisions”. Although the lectures were very
successful and well attended we soon realized that a place was needed
where people could come to learn and experience in a practical way how
to make positive changes in their lives. A group of
like-minded families joined together to purchase and prepare
“NovaVita”. We choose a beautiful location in
Žematijos National Park in Northwestern Lithuania. We are
near a pristine lake that is considered the cleanest lake in
Lithuania. This is one of the favorite tourist locations for
those wanting a peaceful and refreshing time in nature.
