Paraffin Treatment
Paraffin
therapy provides deep penetrating heat to warm joints, tissue and skin.
It is ideal for the treatment of people suffering from pain
associated with arthritis, strains, sprains or joint stiffness. Sore
hands or feet can be bathed in warm paraffin or a paraffin melt can be
brushed on all over body areas to speed up circulation, cleanse the
pores, soften the skin and loosen joints. It is also a wonderful,
relaxing treatment for stress and anxiety.
Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy
utilizes naturally extracted aromatic essences from plants to promote
physical and emotional health. Nearly all essential oils tend to be
powerful antiseptics, which destroy harmful bacteria and viruses. They
stimulate the immune system, thereby encouraging the body to resist
disease, as well as improving the circulation system, relieving pain
and reducing fluid retention. We use a nebulization system for
aromatherapy. Since heat is not used, the essential oils are not
chemically changed or broken down. This makes nebulizers ideal for
aromatherapy. Nebulization ionizes and naturally suspends very fine oil
molecules in the air making the essential oil more bio-available.
Essential oils can directly impact emotional states through the
olfactory system, which makes it a uniquely holistic healing modality.
Aromas are sensed and analyzed in the reticular system of the brain
stem. Our aromatic inhalations are particularly useful for stress
reduction, melancholy or treatment of respiratory problems.
Classical Massage
Massage
therapy increases blood supply, oxygen, and nutrition to muscle tissue,
joints, and the vital organs, and improves circulation throughout the
body. It lowers blood pressure and heart rate and can reduces stress,
anxiety, and even depression. As massage helps reduce not only
physical, but mental stress, it is often recommended as part of a
regular program for stress management. We offer a wide variety of
classical massages including cosmetical facial massage, back and
shoulder massages, full body, anti-cellulite massage or concentrate on
problem areas. The essential oils used in our aromatherapy
massage make the treatment wonderfully therapeutic and will relieve the
tension and discomfort present in a range of ailments.
Honey Massage
Honey massage is one of the ancient Tibetan and Russian massages.
The effects of honey massage are based on the interaction between the skin and the nourishing components of pure honey.
The effect of the honey massage can be felt almost immediately after a
single procedure. The honey massage cleans pores in the skin and
dramatically increases circulation.
Clay Plasters
Clay
has been used for centuries to nourish and detoxify the body. The fine
clay actually draws from the pores, absorbing impurities and helping to
release wastes from the skin. The effect is a gentle exfoliation,
tightening and revitalizing of the skin. Warm clay treatments are
also very useful to painful or sore joints. This therapy provides
a soothing and relaxing experience that will leave you feeling
rejuvenated with wonderful smooth and silky skin.
Salt Glow
Sea
salt, rich in trace minerals, is mixed with warm massage oil to
exfoliate the top layers of dead skin from the whole body (except for
the face). It leaves your skin moist, glowing, and satin-smooth. It is
an excellent treatment for those who tend to have cold limbs as it
stimulates the circulation. A salt glow is a tonic strengthener
for the whole nervous system. This treatment can also be given
with essential oils for a wonderful aromatherapy combination.
Contrast Shower
This
is a special, multi-headed shower that alternates hot and cold
water. The temperature contrast increases microcirculation
throughout body tissues, promotes detoxification, and strengthens the
immune system. This helps bring nutrients, oxygen and immune cells to
damaged and stressed tissues and carries away metabolic waste,
inflammatory by-products and other toxic substances. Contrast showers
also increasing the number of circulating white blood
cells. Contrast showers help to strengthen and normalize
the nervous, circulatory, endocrine systems and are excellent for
helping the body cope with physiological and psychological
stress. After a contrast shower you will notice you have more
energy and vigor.
Hydrotherapy
Hydrotherapy
is the use of water to revitalize, maintain, and restore health.
Hydrotherapy uses water to treat disease, stress and tension. The term
“hydrotherapy“ does not refer to any one particular
treatment but rather to a broad category of treatments. Hydrotherapies
use both hot and cold water to either relax or invigorate the body.
While warm water soothes and relaxes the body, cold water stimulates.
Hydrotherapy is effective for relieving stress and tension as well as
to stimulate digestion, improve circulation, strengthen the immune
system and to bring relief from pain. Adding herbs and essential oils
to water can enhance its therapeutic value.
We offer constitutional hydro, which is a series of hot and cold
compresses applied to the chest and back. This method is used for
promoting overall health and immune system strength. It is used
to stimulate the function of the liver and spleen and aid in digestion.
We
also offer steam chair treatments, hot foot baths with aromatic oils,
invigorating ice massages, wet sheet wraps and other treatments and
treatment combinations designed to fit your individual health
needs.
